Expo 2030 Riyadh: Main Infrastructure Contract Awarded to Accelerate Project Execution

Expo 2030 Riyadh Company announced the award of the main contract for infrastructure and essential facilities works at the Expo 2030 Riyadh site to Nesma & Partners Group, marking a key milestone in accelerating project execution and transitioning from the planning and preparatory phase to full-scale implementation.

The infrastructure and essential facilities works aim to prepare the Expo site for subsequent construction and development stages, supporting the operational requirements of the exhibition. The scope includes internal road construction and implementation of the main infrastructure and utilities networks that form the backbone of the project.

This phase involves executing up to 50 kilometers of infrastructure and essential services networks, including water and sewage systems, electrical systems, electric vehicle charging stations, and communication networks. These works are crucial to support the next stages of the overall master plan, enabling the commencement of initial construction works that will shape the experiences Expo 2030 Riyadh will offer its visitors.

Eng. Talal Al-Marri, CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh, stated that awarding this contract represents a pivotal stage in accelerating on-site works, noting that establishing the core infrastructure lays the foundation for comprehensive, high-quality implementation according to international best practices, while creating a sustainable legacy extending beyond 2030.

He added that the contract award was completed ahead of the scheduled timeline, as part of a phased approach aimed at expediting project implementation during 2026 and early 2027.
