FedEx Opens Regional Headquarters in Riyadh

Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Services Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser inaugurated today FedEx’s new regional headquarters in Diriyah, which will oversee operations across Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister Dr. Rumaih bin Mohammed Al-Rumaih, Acting President of the Transport General Authority, and Raj Subramaniam, President and CEO of FedEx, alongside senior government and company officials.

Saudi Arabia: A Global Logistics Hub

Minister Al-Jasser emphasized that the launch of FedEx’s HQ and the start of direct air cargo flights from Riyadh reflect the Kingdom’s growing investment appeal and its position as a world-class logistics hub and strategic gateway for trade and services. He noted that the arrival of leading global logistics firms is clear evidence of the sector’s strength and the international confidence in Saudi Arabia’s transformation and opportunities under its visionary leadership.

First Direct Air Link to Riyadh

According to the Transport General Authority, the expansion includes the launch of the first direct FedEx flights to Riyadh from the United States and Europe, with six weekly flights arriving at King Khalid International Airport. The company will also expand its integrated logistics services across the Kingdom and the region.

Powering Vision 2030

The rapid growth of the air freight and express delivery sector underscores the Ministry’s commitment to expanding operational capacity and linking the Kingdom to global supply chains, in support of Saudi Vision 2030 targets.
