احتفلت شركة عبد الله هاشم المحدودة الوكيل الحصري لشركة هوندا للسيارات في المملكة العربية السعودية بإطلاق هوندا أكورد الجديدة كليًا في المملكة وفي العاصمة الرياض خلال أمسية مشوقة حضرها نخبة من الشخصيات الرسمية يتقدمهم القنصل التجاري الياباني والعملاء والمهتمين من اعلاميي المحركات والسيارات والاقتصاد. وطرحت هوندا سيارتها أكورد الجديدة كلياً بمظهر أنيق ورياضي ذي تصميم خارجي لافت للنظر وتصميم داخلي مُنظَّم يسهل استخدامه. وبنظامها المطور الهجين ومحركها التوربيني الكهربائي (e:HEV) إضافة الى محرك الوقود ذو الاحتراق الداخلي، والذي يتم طرحه لأول مرة في المنطقة. و الأخرى بمحرك الوقود التوربيني سعة 1.5 لتر VTEC والذي حقق شعبية كبيرة عالمياً ومحلياً. وتتميز الأكورد الجديدة بطولها وأناقتها وتصميمها المتفرد، وبخط أفقي منخفض ومقدمة طويلة وقوية. وتعزز هذه السيارة السيدان الأكثر شهرة مظهرها الجديد الأنيق بديناميكية أكثر ثقة وتطورًا، واستجابة بشكل أفضل، وشخصية تجعل قيادتها أكثر متعة.

The Hybrid (e:HEV) model is equipped with an All-New, more powerful 4th-generation two-motor hybrid-electric system with a pair of electric motors and an all-new 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine that adds direct fuel injection, all of which is mated to an Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission (E-CVT) which features a direct drive to the wheels via the propulsion motor, thus eliminating the need for a conventional geared transmission, with a total system power output of 204hp and an impressive 355Nm torque from 0-2000rpm. On the other hand, the 1.5 Liter VTEC Turbo Engine generates 194hp @6000rpm and 260Nm torque.
