✈️AviLease Signs Agreement with Airbus to Purchase 77 Aircraft

In the presence of the Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, and the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, AviLease – a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) – signed a strategic agreement with Airbus to purchase 77 aircraft, including:

55 A320neo family aircraft

22 A350F freighter aircraft

The aircraft are scheduled for delivery through 2033, as part of AviLease’s ambitious growth strategy to become a global leader in aircraft leasing.

The agreement was signed during the 2025 Paris Air Show by:

Fahad Al-Saif, Chairman of AviLease and Head of Global Capital Finance at PIF, highlighted that this marks the company’s second major deal in less than two months — reflecting its ambition to become one of the top ten aircraft leasing companies globally, while reinforcing its role as a national champion aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Al-Saif emphasized that the deal supports both economic diversification and the objectives of the National Aviation Strategy, further boosting the Kingdom’s position in the global aviation sector.

🌍 A Strong Order Book… and a Rising Presence

Edward O’Byrne, CEO of AviLease, expressed pride in building a strong Airbus order book, reinforcing the company’s status as a fully integrated global aircraft lessor with investment-grade credit ratings.

He noted that the addition of these latest-generation aircraft enhances AviLease’s ability to offer energy-efficient, state-of-the-art aviation solutions to airline clients worldwide — particularly those operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He added that the A350F selection was the result of close coordination with key stakeholders in the Saudi aviation ecosystem.
